We're coming out of hiding

We finally had the opportunity to take a nice walk/jog in our jogging stroller this afternoon. I seriously think it has been 5 months since we've done this. What a wonderful trip we had, well most of it. Last summer, Joshua was too small to walk around outside, now that he can, he is crazy. He does not appreciate either if you take him in...wow! Watch out, you will see the wrath of Joshua's anger. The kids had a great time running around the park, climbing up things and swinging on their tummy. I have to say this one thing though. Joshua wanted to swing on his stomach just like Emma. So...I let him. While taking a picture of him, I heard a thump and I took the camera away from my face and there he was face down in the mulch. I wanted to laugh, but I didn't want to hurt his feelings and have him or Emma think I was laughing at him getting hurt. I chuckled to myself and picked him up and brushed him off. He was fine, just his pride was hurt. Anyway, I have some pictures of our outing this afternoon, there is one of Joshua on the swing right before he fell.

This weekend, we threw my mother-in-law a surprise birthday breakfast, the best gift of all was having her daughter in town for the weekend. Everything came out perfect, she did not suspect anything...and we caught it all on tape. I hid in the bathroom with Emma and Sheri. Emma is not very good about keeping secrets, maybe that's her age (I hope). I knew she would say something to Nana about Sheri being there, so we hid out in the bathroom with her. Our waitress was awesome too, she was in on it. She gave Sheri some balloons to hold in front of her face and the waitress walked in front of Sheri. At first, Nana saw Emma and I, Emma of course gave Nana a nice warm "Surprise." Then, Sheri gave Nana the balloons and I think it took a couple seconds before Ann realized, wait a minute, I recognize you. She had some tearful moments, of course, all good tears, and then we went on our merry way and got down to business...ordering our breakfast. Emma LOVED her auntie Sheri and couldn't get enough of her. Hopefully we will have the opportunity to see Sheri again soon. There's a family reunion in Pennsylvania this summer, don't think we'll go, unless Penn. turns into the Carolina's!! Here are some photos of the surprise party.

Emma and the Easter Bunny

We went to the mall today...had to pick up a couple things and what did we find, but the Easter Bunny. Emma, without question or delay, wanted to sit and take a picture with him. Now...this is a big step for her. Everytime she has seen the Easter bunny or Santa Claus, she has been very reluctant to go near them. She walked right up to the Easter bunny, sat next to him and smiled for the camera, what a girl!!

Joshua, on the other hand, wouldn't get out of his stroller!

My Little Swimmer

So Emma loves to swim and the other day I gave her her goggles in the tub. Ever since then, she has to wear them when she takes a bath. She's getting ready for the summer!
